The Society of American Travel Writers announced its Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism awards over the weekend at its annual convention down in Guadalajara, Mexico. Southern Living magazine’s “Tales From the Road” blog garnered the Bronze in the travel blog category.

Kudos to SL!

March 21st, 2009 — 9:41am

  • Optimizing 100+ Web sites.
  • Attending Podcamp Nashville!
  • Editing the forthcoming editions of two annual magazines.

But, as always, I aim to post here a bit more regularly. Stay tuned…

This year the group aims to hold a few sessions on how to utilize new media technologies to inform and galvanize the laity to action. Some suggested sessions include blogging, podcasting and social networking. I had a conversation last night with an organizer, and hope to sit on a panel for the group. The convention is in November and preliminary information can be found here. More to come soon…
